Term 3 GATE Classes

On the 3^rd of August 2011 our first GATE classes for Term 3 started up and running. These GATE classes are for gifted and talented children in academic areas. The first two GATE classes that started on this day were: GATE Environmental Studies and GATE Writing. The children in these GATE classes are carefully chosen by their class teachers. All the children hope to be chosen as it seems an honour!   

School Assembly

On Fridays, Milford School has a whole school assembly. We sing songs and listen to sport reports that people have either been to or seen the event. Each assembly we have a year group that chooses a person from each class to come up the front to share some new learning with the rest of the school. Every so often we have a sharing assembly for parents to come along to as well!

Meet the Teachers Night

On the 17^th of February Milford School held a Family Picnic night for all ages. At the picnic our school Gardening Club sold worm casts to raise money for more gardening gloves and all sorts for their club. Our Principal, Ms Hopkirk, held a speech for the new parents at the school by introducing the teachers, new and old, and of course why they made the right decision by giving their children a good education at Milford. Next, they gave one teacher the responsibility of telling the parents about the upcoming year. The teacher took the parents to their classroom leaving the kids to play. Priya Sharma thought she had a great time!
