In the middle of February, Year 5s and 6 went to Muriwai Beach to learn about Water Safety. They learnt lots of good skills for example sunsmart rules, wadding, dolphin diving, different types of waves, rips and currents and even learnt about the rescue boats lifeguards use. A few classes were lucky enough to walk up to Ganetts Rock Reserve and lots of children were amazed by how many ganetts there were. They all had fun swimming in the water and learning about water safety.
