Kahurangi Dance Theatre

Towards the end of Term 2, we had some special visitors show us Maori Dances from around the Pacific Islands. The dances were from Samoa, Fiji, Vanuatu, the Cook Islands and more. The people who performed at our school were called the Kahurangi Dance Group. They were wearing very bright and vibrant clothes. They were very good at singing and doing Poi actions. We learnt a lot about Polynesian and Maori culture and we had a lot of fun!
